Electric Bass

The Electric Bass Guitar originated in the 50s. The bass is used in all styles of music. Jaco Pastorius, bass player of Weather Report, helped evolve bass to a solo instrument as well. Due to requiring a certain hand strength, we recommend bass be taught to children no younger than 8 years old. For more advanced students, jazz theory, and full range scales are offered to learn.

Beginning Violin

The violin is the smallest and highest-pitched member of the violin family of string instruments, which also includes the viola and cello. The violin is sometimes informally called a fiddle. The violin is played by musicians in a wide variety of musical genres, including Baroque music, classical, jazz, folk and traditional, and rock and roll. We recommend that the student is at least 5 years old to start the violin.

Piano

Piano is an excellent instrument to start music lessons. With the black and white keys of the piano, it's layout lends itself to learning music theory the easiest of all instruments. The piano is also a great songwriting tool.

Voice

Singing is known to reduce stress. Learning proper vocals techniques helps a student feel confident with their voices.

Guitar

The guitar and instruments similar to it have been around for five thousand years. It wasn't till the 1940's when the first electric guitar was built. For children the acoustic guitar is a great place to begin learning the guitar, and there are smaller size guitars available. The guitar, like the piano, is a great tool for songwriting.
